Dr. Saraiya is a board-certified rheumatologist with more than 10 years of clinical experience specializing in general rheumatology. She cares for patients with a wide range of autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, spondyloarthritis, lupus, myositis, vasculitis, and systemic sclerosis.
Dr. Saraiya has a special interest in the role of lifestyle factors—including nutrition, sleep, and mind-body practices—in the management of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. She is known for her attentive listening, ability to build meaningful connections with patients, and commitment to developing personalized treatment plans that are both effective and easy to understand.
Dr. Saraiya earned her medical degree from B. J. Medical College in Ahmedabad, India. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in Springfield, Illinois, followed by a fellowship in Rheumatology at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. She also completed a residency in Integrative Medicine through the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine in Arizona and is currently preparing for board certification in Integrative Medicine.
